Today ClockworkMod just released updated version for Rom Manager Premium , it has been updated to v5.0.1.3. In Rom Manager Premium 5.0.1.3, there is a new feature called “restore ROM Manager”.  so you can restore your ROM anytime and anywhere.

There are two basic things are done by the ROM Manager, First, the application is installed ClockworkMod recovery and back-up and / or restore your phone system, by using this application, you can download and install your own custom ROM.

You can find tons of custom ROMs to choose from, including the popular CyanogenMod, Lithium Mod, cvpcs, Ihtfp69, JagerRom, dear, Uncommon Sense, MIUI and Berzerker, just to name a few. Each ROM brings something new to traditional Android. Once you download the ROM, you can use ROM Manager to install it on your device. Since the ROM to save to your SD Card, you can switch depending on your preference.

You can also use ROM Manager to back up and restore your ROM. I am using ROM Manager to support my HTC ROM Incredible Droid factory, and then download and install the ROM 6 CyanogenMod. The whole process went smoothly, without a hitch. Since CyanogenMod does not include Google Apps, I also use ROM Manager to download and install them.

So far I am very pleased with the outcome, for example, CyanogenMod soft keyboard is much more accurate than the factory one. But it’s good to know that I can easily go back to the factory ROM if necessary.

ROM Manager includes a utility to partition your SD Card and ‘Fix [file system] Permissions’.

If you want more options, ROM Manager Premium ($ 5) also offers an update check, over-the-air updates for supported ROMs, an ‘Install from QR Code’ feature, and a larger catalog of custom ROM. That seems like a very reasonable price to support the development of a powerful tool.
